General Assembly 1
Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders Today.
Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders Today.
Hello Delegates,
My name is Hamdan AlShamsi, and I am a Grade 11 student from the UAE, honored to serve as the Chair of the General Assembly. This is my first time taking on the role of Chair at ManorMUN, and I am very excited to guide delegates through meaningful debate and cooperation. Model United Nations has helped me develop strong leadership, public speaking, and critical thinking skills while engaging with global issues from different perspectives.
As Chair, I aim to create a respectful, organized, and engaging committee where all delegates feel confident sharing their ideas. I enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds and participating in thoughtful discussions, which is why I value MUN so highly. I look forward to productive sessions, strong collaboration, and an unforgettable conference experience.
See you in May!
Hello! My name is Alena, i’m 16 years old and i’m in 10th grade. I’m really excited to be one of your chairs for the General Assembly, especially since this is my first year chairing. MUN is one of those things you really grow into by putting yourself out there, even when it feels a little on edge. It’s helped me develop skills like public speaking and debating in a way I never expected. What I absolutely love most about MUN is the people and the friendships you form through something as chaotic and fun as pretending to be countries debating global issues. My goals as a chair is to keep the committee as productive, efficient and comfortable for every delegate no matter your level of experience. Whether this is your first conference or you’ve done MUN before, your ideas matter here. I’m looking forward to working with all of you and making this a positive, engaging committee. Hope to see you in May!
