Hello and welcome, everybody! I’m Fares; I'm 16 years old and I’m beyond ecstatic to be your Secretary -General at MANORMUN VI 2027 alongside my incredibly talented partner, Firas.

This role has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember (that’s a lie sorry it was like 2 years ago and I remember every detail). It all began with my first MUN Lunch-Club at MHIS, hosted by our beloved director, Mrs. Katy, and each year’s wonderful Secretary Generals. It looked intriguing, but I found it genuinely horrifying. I was so overwhelmed that I even considered walking out that door, simply because I was afraid to make the teensiest noise in front of all of these people. Still, I knew my passion for public-speaking alone wouldn’t suffice. So I stayed, forced myself to attend the next Lunch-Club, then the one after that, and eventually reached where I am today. Please don’t rob yourself of the opportunity to better yourself. Don't walk out that door no matter how overwhelming something may seem; you might just find yourself looking back at that exact moment while writing your own Secretary-General bio and thanking your past self.

A little about me: I’m probably the biggest horror fan you’ll ever meet (challenge me), with Scream being my favorite franchise. I enjoy writing (poems, scenes, or just random clumps of big-boy words to make me seem intellectual and all), the beach, scuba diving, and I hope to learn how to surf soon.

Hello everyone! My name is Firas Atia, and I’m excited to be serving as your Secretary-General for MANORMUN2027 alongside my fellow Secretary-General, Fares!

Anyway, let me tell you a bit about myself. I enjoy building LEGOs, with Ninjago being my favorite, watching shows and movies, especially apocalyptic ones, and most importantly, debating! I love a good argument and the friendly competition that comes with it. I also enjoy meeting new people and hearing different opinions because there is always something new to learn.

My MUN journey started at DIAMUN in Dubai, which was my first-ever MUN. I was pretty nervous at first, but the experience showed me how fun and interesting MUN could be. Since then, I’ve participated in MANORMUN, SANAWBARMUN, and ADPSMUN, and each experience has helped me become more confident and comfortable. I’ve also improved my debating skills, met new people, and made great memories along the way.

As Secretary-General, I’m looking forward to helping make MANORMUN2027 a great experience for everyone. Whether you’re a first-time delegate or an experienced one, I hope you enjoy the debates, make new friends, and leave with great memories. Fares and I will do our best to make this experience enjoyable for all of you!
