Hey, future delegates!

My name is Meral, and I’m excited to be one of your General Assembly Chairs, alongside Hashim (even though he probably hates me half the time). A little about me when I’m not in the middle of a heated debate or complaining about junior year, you’ll catch me watching movies, at swim practice, or smashing volleyballs. This is my first time chairing, and I couldn’t be more excited to give it my all. Whether you’ve attended ten MUNs or this is your first, I promise we’ll make it worth your time. MUN has become one of my favorite things because it’s all about sharing ideas, building connections, and learning to accept how others see the world.

Expect our General Assembly sessions to be a little bit of everything, serious debates, random bursts of laughter, and maybe a few snacks (if I can sneak them in). Whether you're aiming for Best Delegate or just here to explore what MUN is all about, Hashim and I are ready to make this experience memorable, as long as we don’t end up fighting (no promises though).

Hello everyone! 

My name is Hashim Alwedyan, and I’m from Jordan. It’s a pleasure to chair the General Assembly at MANORMUN this year alongside my partner, Meral. Last year was my first year at Manor Hall, and honestly, It's been great Alhamdullilah. I joined MUN because I wanted to strengthen my leadership and communication skills, and this is the perfect place to do that. 

This is my first time participating in MUN, so if it’s your first too, don’t worry, we’ll figure it out together! I believe MUN helps you learn how to express your ideas confidently and work with others, which will be valuable in the future. 

When I’m not in MUN, I enjoy playing games and ice skating, but what I look forward to here is the chance to challenge myself in new ways. I enjoy listening to the variety of ideas everyone brings, and our General Assembly is set to be a mix of everything, and we hope to make the most of this experience. 

Whether you’re aiming for Best Delegate or just here to explore what MUN is all about, I assure you the experience will be unforgettable.
