Internatioanl Court of Justice

Hello everyone! I’m Amir Ahmad, and I’m excited to be serving as this year’s President of the International Criminal Court (ICC), alongside my co-chair, Pietra. I’m really looking forward to leading what I believe will be one of the most engaging and interactive committees at this conference.

A bit about me: studying isn’t always my favourite thing, but I’m currently taking AP Biology, so I clearly enjoy a challenge. I may not be the funniest person—or Marlon—but I love playing football and proudly support Manchester City. Phil Foden is proof that staying calm, consistent, and prepared under pressure makes all the difference, and I try to bring that same mindset into MUN.

I’ve participated in several MUN conferences before, but this is my first time leading one, which makes it especially exciting. I’m looking forward to learning together, debating important issues, meeting new people, and growing more confident along the way.

Public speaking isn’t my strongest skill, but I’m here to improve right alongside you. Everyone comes to MUN with different goals, so let’s make this a memorable, productive, and enjoyable experience for everyone. I’m honoured to serve as your President this year, and I can’t wait to see you all at the conference!

Hello everyone, my name is Pietra Mancastropi and I’m chairing this year’s International Criminal Court (ICC) alongside my co-chair Amir. This is my first time chairing, and hopefully it won’t be the last. Although I’m a bit tense, and also very excited, and ready to try my hardest.

I first heard about MUN through some of my friends and classmates who had previous experience participating in MUN’s, and through theirs and Ms.Katy’s encouragement I decided to give MUN a try, and so far I’ve really enjoyed it.

Some things about me are that I like to bake sweets (especially for my friends), try out new recipes, watch sitcoms and series (mostly comedy), play card games, visit new places, hang out with my family or my friends, and listen to music while reading.

During Manor MUN, my main goal is to be able to help everyone have fun, feel like they’re welcomed, heard by others, and comfortable enough to share thoughts and opinions. I'm really looking forward to Manor MUN, and I hope that everyone who attends is able to make the very most out of it by meeting new people, making friends, exchanging ideas, and most importantly, having fun!
