Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders Today.
Hello my name is Jana Ahmed and I will be chairing for the International Court of Justice (ICJ) alongside my co-chair Firas Atia, this is not my first year in MUN but it is my first time chairing, I will be trying my best to make MUN an enjoyable experience for all those in attendance.
My introduction to MUN came through my 10th-grade teacher Miss Katy, and after attending multiple club sessions I discovered my interest in debating. The atmosphere and environment was a huge factor in my liking for MUN,because although I am not the biggest fan of public speaking, the atmosphere made it comfortable enough to try it out, which is why I will try my best to have a comfortable environment for all attending delegates.
A little information about me I like watching movies, specifically in cinemas more than at home, I am a fan of all things superheroes from marvel to dc, films and comics included, I like to watch shows (that I don't usually finish but that's besides the point), I like reading thriller, dystopia and mystery books and I like to draw and paint.
MUN is an experience that I reckon people should try out more regardless of who you are, it can teach you a lot about how certain decisions are made but also all in all it is just fun to be around different people with different thoughts and personalities. I encourage everyone to speak as your voice is again, just as my co chair has said, just as important as everyone else's. I would like to add that it's not just during the conference, but also outside to other delegates. You have a lot more in common with most of the delegates than what you think, so feel free to strike up a conversation.
All in all I hope that MANORMUN is a good experience for everyone, if at any point you have questions I will do my due diligence to answer them. I'm outgoing and open to discussion so feel free to ask any queries. SEE YOU ALL IN MAY:)
Hello, my name is Firas Atia, and I will be chairing the International Court of Justice (ICJ) alongside my co-chair, Jana. This will be my first time chairing, so I'm a bit nervous, but I'm going to be optimistic and try my best. I hope to see you on my committee, right?
Anyway, I'm gonna talk more about myself now. I like to build Legos(Ninjago best genre), watch shows, and movies (especially apocalyptic ones), and most importantly, debate. I didn’t know about debating until Mrs. Katy opened my eyes and introduced me to courts, and I loved the debating and the friendly competition.
My previous experiences with mun were during manor mun and diamun in dubai. DIAMUN was my first ever mun so I was very nervous but it showed me what mun can be and in mun I was more confident comfortable and I even won a certificate.
I am just so so excited to see you in ICJ where I and Jana hope to make your mun experience unforgettable and fun and easy going. We will be having fun debates and arguments and NO FIGHTING.
I Cannot wait for MANORMUN I better see you there in may mark your calendars delegate see you soon!!
