Hello fellow delegates! My name is Isa Ali, I’m 16 years old and I’m excited to be one of the chairs for the Human Rights council this year. A little bit about me, I was born and raised in Canada and came to the UAE late 2022. This is my first year in Manor Hall as well as my first time chairing. So if it’s also your first time, don’t worry! Although this is my first year participating as a chair it’s my 3rd year participating in ManorMUN!
Outside of School, I enjoy watching live sports, playing video games and racing with my friends.
For those of you who are participating in ManorMUN for the first time, just know it’s a great opportunity to meet new people and polish your public speaking skills. Though many find their first time attending an MUN to be nothing short of confusing, My Co chair and I will work together to make sure everyone is able to understand everything in regards to both MUN and the Human Rights Council.
Hello everyone! I’m Dania Fayyad, 16 years old, from Palestine, and I am this year’s Human Rights President. This is my first year at Manor Hall and also my first time participating in MUN, and I can’t wait to join the Human Rights Committee, as I have a deep passion for supporting human rights and justice. As a newcomer to the MUN community, I’m excited to learn from fellow delegates and gain experience in negotiation and debate.
Although I just joined MUN this year, I believe that it’s an opportunity to grow and develop valuable skills. It’s about more than just debating global issues, it’s a chance to build confidence, improve communication, and meet passionate people who want to make a difference. Even if you’re unsure about joining MUN, taking that first step could reveal strengths you didn’t know you had. I can’t wait to get to know you all in May!
