General Assembly 2

Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders Today.
Hello, my name is Alaa Osman, and I’m excited to be your Chair for ManorMUN 2026. I have many hobbies, including reading and playing sports, and I enjoy spending time doing things that help me grow and better understand myself. Being present, trying new things, and spending quality time with the people I love bring me a lot of joy.
I also enjoy consuming media. One of my favorite films is Dune: Part Two, and I love watching movies, especially horror—as well as cozy, homey shows like Gilmore Girls.
A fun fact about me is that I live by the mantra, “Tomorrow is not promised, and we only get to try this life once,” which encourages me to challenge myself and step outside of my comfort zone—something that’s a big part of the MUN experience.
Hey everyone! I’m Yamen Qablan, and I’m beyond excited to be chairing General Assembly 2 this year with my co‑chair Alaa. We’re ready to keep things sharp, keep things moving, and maybe even drop a few meme‑worthy moments along the way because let’s be real if GA2 doesn’t have at least one cross-debate that turns into barely polite yelling, did we even debate?
I’m into cars — I love filming and photographing them, capturing their design and energy through the lens. I also binge shows like Prison Break, Suits, The Bear, Breaking Bad, and Dexter. Basically, if it’s got chaos, strategy, or someone pulling a Yamen Specter “I don’t play the odds, I play the man” moment, I’m hooked.
On the MUN side, I’ve attended multiple conferences before, and each one has been a chance to grow and sharpen my skills. That’s why I’m so hyped to be chairing at ManorMUN this year. Joining the leadership team has been a highlight for me, and I can’t wait to see GA2 become the committee everyone’s talking about not just for the debates, but for the energy we bring.
See you all soon!
