Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders Today.
Hello Delegates,
My name is Fatima Mohamed and this year I am delighted to be able to take on the role of holding the World Health Organization Committee alongside my co-chair, Fares Afif. This is my first time landing such an important leadership role and I am truly excited to share this experience with you all in May.
The World Health Organization committee will focus on up-to-date global health challenges through cooperation and policy-driven solutions. During ManorMUN2025, I was able to land the opportunity to participate as a delegate in the UNICEF. I’m excited to hear everyone’s opinion in May, so don’t be scared to speak up!
One thing about me is that I enjoy socializing, meeting new people from diverse backgrounds, as well as engaging in thoughtful conversations. These qualities were all offered to me by MUN which is why I think it’s such a great place for someone who loves to public speak and at the same time learn new things. In my free time, I enjoy watching shows and movies, especially medical thrillers that showcase the reality of life working in healthcare.
I look forward to welcoming you all soon. See you in May!!
Hello everyone!
My name is Fares Afif and I am beyond thrilled to be chairing the World Health Organization committee in (WHO) MANORMUN2025 along with my co-chair, Fatima Mohamed. A little over a year ago, I had barely known what MUN even was, I’d only ever hear it mentioned in the morning assembly and all I knew then was how badly I wanted assembly to end because of how hot the weather was.
I was lucky enough to be educated about what MUN actually was by our dear director and my World History teacher, Ms. Katy. I knew then and there that I just had to sign up to whatever this was. Roughly a year later and I’m now part of the leadership team, chairing.
A little about me: I’m 15 years old. I absolutely love horror movies (Especially the Scream franchise). My favorite show is The Good Place. (I can’t wait to see if any of you guys watched it.) I love scuba-diving. I can never get bored of theme parks. I really enjoy watching sitcoms, especially 11 season ones (My 4th Modern Family rewatch is on the way, trust). I would love to recommend a bunch of movies and TV shows to you guys in May, and hear your recommendations too.
My goal as your chair this MANORMUN is to ensure that EVERYONE’s experience is an enjoyable one. I can never forget how nervous I was during my first MUN as a delegate, but as time passed I realized it really was never that serious. I knew I always had a passion for public speaking, but MUN has given me the chance and comfort to do so. I hope to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable enough to speak up without hesitating even for a second. If this is your first MUN experience, please make sure to make the most out of it, have fun! See you all in May! Oh and in case i don’t see ya, good afternoon good evening and goodnight!
